Esther Inspiration Day
Written by Lorna O'Shea on 17th June 2019
On 21st March 2019 Bex and I were invited to, and attend, the Esther inspiration Day at the the Brands Hatch Hotel. We listened to many dignitaries and Esther coaches talking about their adaptation of the Esther programme and the benefits it has give the patients with their health authorities.
Bex and I delivered a workshop together on the day providing a personal account of the empowerment of applying the Esther Model of working within other areas of the health and social care to that of all the other care providers there. Bex talked about her life and how she manages her disabilities. Every was very interested and we were asked many questions which arose from Bex talking about what she needs from her support to help her to achieve what matters most to her and how that support can be delivered successfully.
Esther Ambassador Coaching is to become part of the Phoenix Training Programme. This will be exciting and progressive for both those we support; our Esthers, and, us as individual members of staff, working together to achieve the satisfaction of delivering the best support for Esther.
