Written by Sarah Castle on 01st October 2019
Hello everyone,
In case you are not aware, there is a free service called ‘Shout’ that offers support to people 24/7. You can contact them if you are struggling with your mental health, such as having suicidal thoughts, self-harming, relationship troubles, being bullied or abused and more. They are there for you if you feel that need someone to talk to who is not going to judge you.
The service is run by trained crisis volunteers and when you feeling like you need some help, all you need to do is text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258 and they will respond to you as quickly as possible. It is a free texting service so your support can be provided easily through text messages that will not cost you or show up on your phone bill. It is completely confidential. Their aim is to get you from crisis to calm.
