Phoenix Support believe that to deliver excellent outcomes for the people using our services, staff must be highly trained and as such we have developed a training schedule that goes beyond minimum requirements.
Staff Training - We have our very own Training and Activity Centre where we hold all training sessions for staff. We work with a variety of different training providers to ensure staff are trained efficiently for their roles. We also have in house trainers where our own staff members have taken part in 'Train the Trainer' schemes. This not only provides excellent training but also gives further opportunities to staff to become one of our very own trainers!
All new staff complete the 15 standards of the Care Certificate prior to active commencement in frontline support delivery.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our staff are fully prepared to support people in the right way and use market leaders and the inspirational training of Dementia Inspired
Training courses are delivered internally using qualified and experienced trainers and e-learning or via externally sourced providers. We recognise that our staff have different learning styles and endeavour to tailor their training plans accordingly.
We are also supporting service users to deliver training to staff in order that they may deliver better support based on a greater understanding of an individual's needs.
Phoenix Support are happy to deliver training externally to other organisations and can bespoke courses to cover specific needs. Further details available on application.
Service User Training
We believe that training should also be offered to our service users in order to develop greater independence in certain areas and work closely with other agencies in order to ensure that a good range of courses are offered. Courses include:
Budget Planning and Financial Management
Personal Safety
Internet Safety
Mate Crime
Autism Awareness
